ILP Design – Edmodo

Join out 2nd Grade Math Class

I created an Edmodo page so students can go on there and find different was that they can learn new math skills or even brush up on the skills they have learned in the classroom. I shared some of the tools and websites that I think are helpful to the students but they can also join in and post what they think help them personally with the other students and myself. Parents can also go onto there child's page and post useful tips and web pages. This w=page can also be used for me to post pop quizzes for extra credit and to remind students that they have assignments that are due.

  1. Edmodo is an awesome tool for professional development as well as increasing the educational opportunities and experiences for the students. Students can collaborate with each other, communicate with the teacher, and both can provide feedback to each other. Your Edmodo looks great. Did you know you can also take a poll? This is a cool feature because you can get feedback and opinions from your students. I also like that they can take quizzes on Edmodo because it immediately grades it and gives them their score. It is very efficient and helpful. Here is a website that shares more benefits to Edmodo: https://edmodo-in-the-classroom.wikispaces.com/Benefits

    1. I know! I used this in school and it was a great way for me to communicate with the other students in my classroom and my teachers. It made communicating and taking quizzes easier to do and better to learn.

  2. Edmodo truly is a fun and interactive website that I know a lot more teachers and educators are starting to use. I like how you addressed how you can also use the web page to get extra credit in a class because I know some students will find that very useful at the end of the semester. Maybe if you wanted to add a fun math feature you can include https://www.coolmath4kids.com/ . They have different games that can challenge students in math!
